Collaborative for Children would like to thank Yao Ming for the generous donation from the The Yao Ming Foundation at The Giving Back Fund of $100,000 to provide nature playgrounds at several local child care centers and pre-school facilities in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

The first of four playgrounds was completed on Saturday, June 5 at the Chinese Community Center here in Houston. Yao Ming planted the last tree and opened the playground to the children (see photos).
