Save the date to celebrate Collaborative for Children’s commitment to serving our children, families and educators. Join us on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm!
 This year’s keynote speaker is famed New York Times Op-Ed columnist David Brooks, who also serves as weekly political commentator on NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and NPR’s All Things Considered.
We are very pleased to have Jenny and James Calaway serve as luncheon Co-Chairs, and The Honorable Bill White and Mrs. Andrea White serve as Honorary Co-Chairs. In addition, we will be honoring Texas Representative Diane Patrick with our Spirit of Collaboration Award.
Last year alone we were able to serve 55,274 children, 22,101 families, and 994 teachers in the Greater Houston area.
