Volunteer Opportunities

Everyone's talents and time are valuable. This is especially true when one's special skills, of even a few hours a week, are dedicated to enhancing the future of children. At Collaborative for Children, all are welcome to do their part. Here are a few examples of how you can help –

Helping Families

  • Assist parents through our Resource and Referral Line
  • Interpret for parents or translate our resource materials into languages such as Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and the many other languages spoken in Houston
  • Help to assess the needs of parents, follow-up and provide them with appropriate resources
  • Update of our child care provider database

Helping Child Care Providers

  • Facilitate training sessions or volunteer to substitute in early childhood classrooms
  • Prepare classroom resource kits and help conduct early childhood assessments
  • Assist consultants in our office and at community events

Community Involvement

  • Help organize and facilitate community meetings across the region
  • Assist with our advocacy efforts
  • Volunteer to serve on our Speakers Bureau or help with a community outreach event

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Your club, church group, fraternity, sorority or any organization can also do its part for our next generation.
