Take Action for Better Early Care and Education

Children will always need someone to act on their behalf, someone to be their advocate. Actively supporting and speaking on behalf of a person and their needs is the essence of advocacy. Now more than ever, we all need to be actively involved in improving early care and education. In many ways, it's our shared commitment to the next generation.

When it comes to decisions about state budgets, programs and priorities for children and families, everyone can make a difference. In many ways, most of us are already advocates. Although advocacy encompasses a variety of activities, including lobbying in support of specific legislative action, public policy research and spreading your message to influence public opinion and policymakers, you don't need to be a politician or lobbyist to make a difference
