
Speaking Up for a Cause
According to the Oxford American Dictionary, advocacy means public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy. In other words, an advocate is someone who speaks up about a cause he or she believes in.
How Can You Become an Advocate?
- Be informed – keep posted on the latest news and attend community meetings and events
- Educate your community, family and friends on the importance of early care and education
- Volunteer to help with our advocacy efforts
- Donate as an investment in our shared future
